Summary
For this project I relearned the importance of making sure you have good accurate measurements before doing anything. One mistake I made was taking measurements of the bolts in one direction and assuming it was the same in the other direction. This caused my first print to be far off from reaching the bolt. However, all of my other measurements were accurate and having everything else work perfectly saved me a lot of time and trouble. Another thing I learned is that sometimes when designing a piece for something else it can be helpful to use pieces already there. For this project my original design was just suppose to stay by being squeezed in between the two tables. I felt this was unreliable but when I saw the bolt I planned around it and now it is very stable.
